metricBEST is a Microsoft Windows based tool, that, in conjunction with a database, also works in a networking environment just in a web browser as a client and a server application.

Minimum system requirements are:

	PC running Windows 2000, NT, XP
	Pentium IV processor recommended
	128 MBRAM required, 1024 MBRAM recommended
	5 MB available on harddisk

The program features a SQL-interface, which is compatible with several different SQL-programs.

Applicable database servers, i.e. Linux, PostgreSQL/MySQL, MS Access, can be recommended after understanding the user requirements.

Is metricBEST compatible with SAP?
metricBEST supports different functions which cannot be presented in SAP. metricBEST wis supplied with data via a data export interface by SAP and other systems.

Are the definitions used standardized by VDA guidelines or ISO ?
metricBEST provides some predefined measurement categories, but any specific formulas can be defined.
